We display the existing canonical safety_signal formula unchanged and uncapped. It can exceed 100. It is not a rating out of 100, a safety certification, or a recommendation for hire.

Inputs are five-year inspection count, serious citations, willful/repeat citations, canonical years_registered and the raw verified_docs_on_file boolean. years_registered uses elapsed years from formed_date to TODAY() in the existing formula. Missing inputs are shown as missing, not replaced with zeros. The formula’s own MAX and IF behavior is preserved.
verified_docs_on_file appears only as a raw formula input. It is not a public document verification claim. A document badge is deferred because no verified review-date field exists. No documents, filenames, links or invented review dates are displayed.
Read the source and year beside the number
Contractor figures require stored source and year; otherwise unsupported numeric claims are withheld. Qualifying regional statistics require qualifies=true, source, year and sample size. Regional views also require a stored period and method. Latest year is selected only within an identical metric, period, source and method group; incomparable periods are kept separate. Public methodology does not expose extraction instructions or operational logs.
Zero inspections means OSHA has not inspected this entity, not that it is safe.
Records may be incomplete, stale or incorrectly matched. Company age does not establish craft experience. Citation arithmetic does not measure exposure hours, severity context or current site conditions. Stored source labels are provenance, not independent validation by TurnaroundIQ.
Neutral registry and draft scopes
Default ordering is legal name A–Z, missing names last. Featured placement is labelled, limited to three in its separate regional section and never changes the neutral table. Free, Verified and Featured are stored tier labels. Scope choices come from the existing schema and remain pending owner approval.
Crew-cost arithmetic
Crew size × hours per crew member × selected p10, median or p90 hourly BLS OEWS wage benchmark for trade and metro. A stored source, year and explicit hourly units in period/source are mandatory. No overtime, burden, tax or per diem is assumed. Results echo every input, rate, expression, source and row year. Successful anonymous runs are stored; unavailable calculations produce no invented result.
